's following the investigation for us. what's the latest, brian? >> reporter: one city official tells us this is the most analyzed piece of electricity in history. we do have new information on concerns about the power supply in the month leading up to the super bowl. in the months leading up to super bowl xlvii, there were worries and warnings among superdome officials about the stadium's power situation. that's from memos from the superdome management group. october 15th, 2012, a memo from pat toppler refers to transient spikes in loads in the system that had previously occurred. >> the concern whether the connection point from the grid to the superdome was reliable. this memo says a test determined that the power feeder line had some decay and had a chance of failure. >> a letter five days before that from an outside engineer hired by the superdome said based on test results, the superdome's main and only electrical feed are not sufficiently liable to support the high profile event schedule. >> and in response to that entergy and superdome services constructed a whole new vault that t
his sixth bir birthday and the city is working on a massive birthday celebration. victor blackwell is in midland city, alabama. we're getting a clearer picture of how far dykes went to keep authorities out of that bunker. >> reporter: that's right and we're seeing there was meticulous preparation on both sides, dykes rigged his bunker but the fbi hostage rescue team actually built a replica of the bunker we're told by sources and rehearsed the day and two days before they went in. four feet below this spot is the bunker where jimmie lee dykes held 5-year-old ethan hostage for a week. this is the pipe the fbi said dykes told agents to communicate and we know he made that request. day after the raid bomb technicians found an explosive inside that pipe and second explosive inside the bunker. jimmy davis jr. is a neighbor, he saw the setup in its early stages. >> it was covered up with two sheets of plywood nailed together with hinges and stuff as a door to open to it. >> reporter: authorities say dykes reinforced the bunker to keep them out but they were inside, watching. sources tell
2nd, gun violence victim gabby giffords meets with new york city mayor and gun reform advocate michael bloomberg. they talk about efforts to reportedly pressure the president and congress to act on gun reform. they allow themselves to be photographed meeting. january 4th, two days later, we learn that the police chief of waterbury, connecticut, which is near newtown, has issued a moratorium on gun shows in his town after the sandy hook shootings. and he says why he is doing it. just a few days later, january 8th, gabby giffords, her husband astronaut mark kelly launch a new anti-gun violence group. that same day, a group called the coalition to stop gun violence launches an ad, a political ad targeting newly elected north dakota senator heidi heitkamp for her criticism of potential gun reforms. on january 9th, the very next day, vice president biden meets with gun violence victims groups. they allow themselves to be photographed for meeting. the same day, new york governor andrew cuomo in his state of the state address promises to push for the toughest assault weapons ban in th
